I had the pleasure meeting Lisa Tuccio last year through a business networking organization. Her story is very inspirational and her Clear Living Facebook group is a great community for anyone looking to improve their overall wellness, share their experiences and gain support.
I asked Lisa to provide some insight on how to start your wellness journey. As I’ve mentioned before, it can be overwhelming to think about everything you should do to eliminate your body and home of toxins. Take a step back, think about what’s important to you and start with one thing at a time. Here is what Lisa has to say:
“We can start to look at the labels on our products and food store items.
1. We can choose to use less of a product to reduce its impact.
2. Eat A plant-based Diet or close to it, lean meats.
3. Switch out products for Chemical free Living Shampoo, conditioners, lotions
4. Increase our antioxidant protection we can Switch on and off the good genes.
5. Look to natural herbs and alternative remedies for daily or temporary discomforts. Like ginger, turmeric, green tea and more.
6. Begin to think of prevention as a way of life and tool for long term wellness.”

There is a common theme above, use less and more natural ingredients. We have become a society that grabs a pill box at a first ache or uses 10+ products before leaving the house in the morning. It’s excessive and unnecessary. Get back to basics.
